Draft — to be reviewed by Pipino and a Kenyan lawyer before publishing. Text in [square brackets] must be completed with Pipino's actual terms.
1. Quotes and prices
Prices on this website are "from" prices in US dollars per person unless stated otherwise. Your final price depends on travel dates, group size, accommodation and vehicle choice, and is confirmed in writing before you pay.
Park, conservancy and entry fees are set by the relevant authorities (for example, Kenya Wildlife Service and county governments) and may change. Unless your quote says they are included, they are payable in addition to the tour price.
2. Confirming your booking
Your booking is confirmed once we receive a deposit of [30%] of the total price and send you a written confirmation. The balance is due [30 days] before the start of your trip. For bookings made less than [30 days] before travel, full payment is due at the time of booking.
We accept payment by [M-Pesa Paybill (business no. ______, account: your booking reference)], [bank transfer to ______] and [card / other]. Bank and transfer charges are paid by the sender.
3. If you cancel
Cancellations must be made in writing (email or WhatsApp). The following charges apply, calculated on the total trip price:
- [More than 60 days] before departure: loss of deposit.
- [59–30 days] before departure: [50%] of the total price.
- [Less than 30 days] before departure, or no-show: [100%] of the total price.
Day trips: cancellations made more than [48 hours] before pick-up are refunded in full, minus any non-refundable fees already paid on your behalf.
Where lodges, camps, airlines or park authorities apply their own non-refundable charges, these are passed on at cost.
4. If we change or cancel your trip
Safaris depend on weather, road conditions and wildlife movements. Your guide may adjust routes or timings for your safety or to give you the best experience. If we have to make a significant change before departure, we will offer you a comparable alternative or a full refund of what you have paid us.
5. Your responsibilities
- Make sure you have a valid passport, the correct visa or travel authorisation, and any vaccinations or health documents required for Kenya.
- Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation and cancellation is strongly recommended.
- Follow your guide's instructions and park rules at all times.
6. Children
[Child policy — minimum ages, discounts and any lodges or activities with age limits.]
7. Liability
We take care in choosing our partners, but we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent suppliers such as lodges, airlines and park authorities, or for events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Kenyan law.
8. Licensing and law
Pipino Tour & Travel is licensed by the Tourism Regulatory Authority, licence no. [TRA LICENCE NO.]. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
